Item not received
- - Ordered a Pyrex dish on Jan 7, 2026 for $21.94; not received by Mar 3; can't reach seller for refund; only message about delay.
I ordered a Pyrex dish on Jan. 7, 2026 [21.94 total].
As of this date [March 3], I still have not received item and have not been able to contact seller for a refund. The following is the only message i've received :
"Delivery date currently unavailable
Package delayed in transit
Pyrex 6-cup Rectangular Glass Food Storage Container with Red Lid
We're sorry your delivery is late. We'll notify you if there are any updates.
You can also cancel for a refund if you prefer."
When I attempted to chat with Amazon Customer Service [it was an AI-run chat], it referred me back to the above tracking "results". Have not received refund as yet.

Verified Reviewer |Terrible lids
- - I use Pyrex glass containers for storage, lunches, heating, and freezing.
- - Lids crack and warp; about 10 lids cost $5.99.
Don’t hold your breath waiting for a response
I use Pyrex glass containers exclusively for storage, lunches, heating, freezing, etc. I always hand wash the lids, never putting them in the dishwasher.
If I could send a picture right now of the 10 lids that are cracked around the edges and no longer reliably seal, I would. A single replacement lid on your website shows a cost of $5.99!!! Is there a reason why the lids break and/or warp so easily? I may seriously have to consider buying another brand when I need replacements for the extensive Pyrex glass container collection I already have.
Thank you.
Signed, Love the containers, disappointed with the lids.
- Love the glass containers
- Lids crack and warp with use even though i hand wash them
Preferred solution: Replacement lids at no charge
User's recommendation: Be prepared to use alternative closure when the lids break

Verified Reviewer |Defective Pyrex baking dishes
- - No working customer service phone number.
- - Received a 28-piece set as a gift.
- - Some dishes are oval; lids don't fit.
- - Seeks non-defective replacements.
Why don't you have a working phone number for customer service? I received a 28-piece set as a gift.
Some of the dishes are not round, but more of an oval shape.
The lids don't fit properly because of this. I would like replacements that are not defective!

Verified ReviewerThis garbage product explodes in the oven under factory rated settings.
- - Two Pyrex pans exploded in the oven at 400°F.
- - They discarded all Pyrex and will never buy or use it again.
I've now had two different Pyrex pans explode in the oven at 400 degrees after being put in from room temp. These products are garbage and that's where I've put every Pyrex product that I owned. I will never buy nor use this trash again and I hope nobody else will either!

Verified ReviewerI have purchased two Pyrex measuring cups (glasses type) and for my surprise they have exploded inside the kitchen cabinet without not reason (why) .
- - Late at night, Pyrex measuring cups in the kitchen cabinet were found broken in pieces after hearing explosions, with no explanation.
Those Pyrex measuring cups were inside the kitchen cabinet, and that happened late at night. We heard the explosions, so when I opened the kitchen cabinet door, there were the measuring cups in pieces with no explanation.

Verified ReviewerResolved: Pyrex baking dish exploding in oven
- - The larger of 3 baking dishes exploded in the oven at 350.
- - My granddaughter was cut cleaning the oven and broiler, and Sunday dinner was ruined.
Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with product replacement.
The set is beautiful, but buyers beware!
While using the larger of the 3 baking dishes for mac & cheese for the first time after the dish was placed in the oven at 350, after 5 minutes all I heard was a loud explosion in the oven with glass food everywhere. My granddaughter was cut while helping to clean both the oven and broiler unit.
This ruined Sunday dinner because it took us over 3 hours to clean, plus another day to make sure all the glass was off the floor. I was so disappointed and upset, being as though food is so expensive now.
- I bought this because i liked the handles
- Glass exploded first time use of product
User's recommendation: I have used my parents Pyrex for years with no issues ever. I would be very afraid for this to happen to anyone else.

Verified ReviewerExploded!!
- - 9x13 pan with handles exploded after proper preheating and cooling.
- - No one was injured; the reviewer notes prior similar incidents.
It would not be fair of me to rate the entire company based on one incident, no matter how serious it was. I have used Pyrex since I was a young woman without issue.
However, when using their 9 x 13 baking pan with handles and having properly followed the instructions by preheating my oven and allowing food to cool on a dry area, after 10 minutes, it did not just crack, but exploded into what seemed like thousands of pieces all over the kitchen counter floor, and into other food ready to serve, causing me to throw it all in the trash. Fortunately. My son, who was standing next to the dish was not injured.
Upon research I find this has happened before. Just thankful no one got hurt, but only by the grace of God.
- I bought this because i liked the handles
- It exploded
Preferred solution: I don’t want you to replace this glass pan. I would like a refund for the product and for the ruined dinner groceries. Glassed flu not only ruining the appetizer, but another appetizer sitting next to
User's recommendation: I personally would never use this particular product again.
Broken Pyrex lids
- - Lids for Pyrex glass containers split and tear, making them lidless.
- - Four 2-cup and four 3-cup lids are unusable; replacement requested.
I invested in the Pyrex brand food (round and oblong) storage containers - which are made to glass, but have lids made of either rubber or plastic. I am very disappointed because these lids begin to split and tear in time.
Thus, this leaves me with glass storage containers with NO LIDS - they no long serve their purpose of keeping food properly covered and sanitary.
I have four (4) "2 cup - 470 mL" size lids; and four (4) 3 cup -750 mL lids that have split and are not useful anymore for properly storing food, which these containers are made for! I am requesting a replacement of my lids.
User's recommendation: Don't buy - because the lids destroy themselves!
I have utilized Pyrex for MANY years, in fact, you will find several different Pyrex products in my kitchen. I have NEVER had a problem with Pyrex
- - I've cooked many meals with Pyrex and had no issues.
- - Explosions occur only if heated beyond recommendations or dropped with a crack.
I have cooked many a meal in Pyrex products. My mom had Pyrex products as well, and we NEVER had any issues or complaints about their products.
The ONLY 2 reasons I can think that would cause Pyrex products to "Explode" (SMH) would be if one was improperly utilizing the product and heating them up WAAAY beyond manufacturers recommendations or if they had dropped the products on the floor & it already had a crack in the glass, but outside of that, I have literally ZERO issues with Pyrex.
You will find several of their products in my kitchen.
User's recommendation: Be Careful how you use it & follow manufacturers recommendations.
9 in glass pan shattered
Taking it out of the oven and it cracked then sat it on counter and it shattered. Dont have a picture of it as had to have my son come and help me to get it into the garbage after it cooled.

Pyrex are as arrogant as they are unreputable.
If you place your hot dish on a cold surface coming out of the oven then I guess you learned a valuable lesson. Judging from the picture of your food I wonder how you arrived at a home cooked dinner costing $250?? I've used Pyrex for over 50 years and I have never had this happen so either its a freak accident or user error...but $250???
Agree. Don't put hot dishes on a cold surface!
If you put hot pyrex onto a much cooler surface it WILL explode. Solution: use ovenproof silicone pot mats to place the hot pyrex upon when it first comes out of the oven and it WILL NOT explode.
